- Published prices only. Every figure comes from the provider's pricing page, or from a third-party UK page marked Provisional, with the link and the date we checked it on the tool's pricing page here. Unknown means the figure isn't published or we couldn't capture it. We never estimate a missing price.
- Cost for 3 users. Our standard comparison is the cost a month for 3 users at the published price, on annual billing shown a month, on the cheapest paid plan that allows 3 users. Seats are the number of users, or the plan's minimum if higher. Flat-fee tools that don't say how many users are included show Unknown.
- Product groups. We split tools into Simple CRM, Sales-team CRM, All-in-one platform. Ranks restart in each group, so different kinds of product are never ranked against each other.
- Prices as published, never converted. Tools that show prices only in US dollars are listed in a separate, labelled table and ranked separately. We don't convert currencies, because what you pay in pounds is set by the provider, not by an exchange rate.
- VAT. Every estimate shows its VAT status as the provider publishes it: Ex VAT, VAT not stated, or for US dollar prices, before tax with UK VAT possibly added. We rank on the published price and never add or remove VAT.
- Plan changes and caps. When the plan that fits isn't the entry plan, for example because the entry plan allows only one user, the row names the plan and says why.
- Possible matches. In the calculator and guides, a tool whose site mentions a feature without saying which plan has it is shown as a possible match, below the ranking and without a number.
- Provisional figures. Some pound prices were read on third-party UK sites because the provider's page showed us US dollars. They are marked Provisional until we recheck them on the provider's own UK page. Provisional prices are ranked like any other, so check them on the provider's site before you buy.
- Offers. Where a provider shows an introductory price we use it and name it, and the calculator can switch to list prices.
- Features. A feature counts for a plan when the pricing page names that plan. If the site mentions it without a plan, the calculator shows it as a possible match.
- No quality scores. We don't test tools or award stars. We compare published facts only.
- Check dates. The date at the top of every page is worked out from the per-plan check dates: one date when every check was the same day, or the first and last day.
- Updates. We recheck prices monthly. Report a change via the contact page.
